YYellow Door Energy is the solar developer for Capital Bank’s solar farm, located in Om Al Amad, Jordan.

Capital Bank is one of Jordan’s leading financial institutions with commercial and investment banking expertise tailored to empower people, corporations and the nation.

The bank signed a 1,181 kWp build-own-operate-transfer (BOOT) solar wheeling agreement with Yellow Door Energy to reduce the
bank’s electricity costs and lower carbon emissions, all without any upfront investment.

The solar farm has been operating since August 2023 and provides clean electricity to 22 branches of Capital Bank across Jordan.
With 2,176 solar panels, covering an area as large as 9 football fields, the solar farm produces 2,740 megawatt-hours of clean energy in the first year of operation, equivalent to reducing carbon emissions by 32,876 tons metric tons over the
system’s lifetime.

Beyond contributing to Jordan’s renewable energy goals, the solar farm has also supported local job creation. During its construction, over 30 Jordanian engineers and workers were employed, showcasing the project’s positive impact on the local economy and community.
