Solis Depot is proud of its contribution to one of the largest photovoltaic solar energy projects in Oman, which is dedicated to powering water desalination plants.
The solar plant, developed to support the Sur Desalination Plant, has a capacity of 17 MWp, making it one of the largest photovoltaic solar projects in the world exclusively designed for desalination purposes.

This project aligns with Oman’s National Energy Strategy, which aims to generate 30% of the country’s energy from renewable sources by 2030; and also holds significant economic and environmental value.

From the outset, the photovoltaic plant will supply clean energy to produce 131,837 cubic meters of desalinated water daily, meeting the needs of more than 600,000 residents in the North and South Al Sharqiyah governorates.

Furthermore, it will contribute to reducing 27,200 tons of carbon emissions annually.
Solis Depot is honored to have supplied 65 Huawei SUN2000-185KTL solar inverters and 6 SmartACU2000D-D-00 smart photovoltaic controllers for this landmark project.

Developed through a partnership between Veolia and TotalEnergies, and executed by Mustakbal Clean Tech, this project represents a significant step in advancing green transformation and decarbonization efforts in Oman and the region.
All stakeholders contributed to the success of this initiative, especially Nama Power & Water Procurement Co., the sole buyer of independent power and water projects in Oman.
